Nip and Krampel Excel at DCP Finals

April 2nd 2018 - On Sunday, April 1st, two south Florida natives competed at the 2018 Drive, Chip and Putt Championship at Augusta National Golf club on the eve of the Masters.

Jensi Krampel of Naples competed in the Girls 7-9 age division. Starting out at the driving competition, Jensi finished in 5th place with a long drive of 137 yards and looked to gain momentum going into the chipping competition. Jensi's two chips finsihed a total of 8'6" from the hole which gave her 1st place in chipping and she was tied for the lead going into the putting competition. She finished in 6th place in the putting competition and 3rd place overall. This was Jensi's first time at the Drive, Chip and Putt Finals and she will look to return in years to come.

Gloria Nip of Port St. Lucie competed in the Girls 10-11 age division. She also competed in the inaugural Drive, Chip and Putt Championship in 2014 where she finished in 9th place. Gloria started out strong with a long drive of 203 yards, earning her 2nd place in the driving competition. She earned 6th place in the chipping competition and was in 5th place overall going into the putting competition. Gloria's combined distance from the hole on her two putts was 2'4" which gave her 1st place in the putting competition and 2nd place overall.

Congratulations to both Jensi and Gloria for representing south Florida at the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship!
