COVID-19 Relief Efforts
April 14th 2020 - To give back to the community during these uncertain times, The South Florida PGA has created several initiatives to not only provide monetary support for those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but also to provide support for healthcare workers and hospital staff in the surrounding areas.
The South Florida PGA launched a new extension of the Birdie Club program, where a portion of all donations and pledges made through the Birdie Club will be given to a children's hospital in your area, in addition to the SFPGA Foundation programs which include: PGA HOPE, Smiling Fore Life and Habitat for Humanity. Click here to join now!
Local Hospitals include:  Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (Broward County), Palm Beach Children’s Hospital (Palm Beach County),  Golisano Children’s Hospital of SW Florida (Lee County), Quantum House (Palm Beach County), and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (Miami)

In addition to the Birdie Club program, The South Florida PGA Foundation Smiling Fore Life program, created in 2010, provides free golf instruction to pediatric patients taught by PGA Professionals once a week.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our Foundation programs have been paused. While our PGA Professionals are unable to visit these hospitals our Child Life Specialists, who coordinate these programs, are still working diligently.
To show our appreciation for their continuous hard work, we ask for your assistance in writing and sending cards to a Child Life Specialist team near you. Please click HERE now for a complete list of names and addresses. If you have the ability to send a card, please let us know and send us a photo of it at your convenience.
