Former SFPGA Junior Tour Alexa Pano Earns WAPT Event Exemption and Second Place Finish
July 1st 2020 - Former SFPGA Junior Tour member and current amateur golfer, Alexa Pano (Lake Worth, FL), finished in second place at the Cooper Communities NWA Classic, a WAPT event played last week in Bella Vista, Arkansas. The WAPT is a developmental tour that provides a pathway to the LPGA’s Symetra Tour. 
The 16-year-old golfer secured her second-place victory by carding a six-under 66 to finish at -10 to end the tournament. Out of a field of 62 players, only Pano and the tournament winner, Maria Fassi (Davenport, FL), were able to go low into the double digits for the week. 
Alexa Pano is a former SFPG Championship Tour player. In 2016 Pano won the Tour Championship shooting 73,71. Pano was also the Girls Championship Tour player of the Year for 2016 at just 12-years-old.
