The 2017 Tour Championship will require season long qualifying to participate. Qualifications will be determined based on Player of the Year Points earned throughout the year. The number of spots available for each age division will be decided based on the percent of total members of the Junior Tour in that division as of November 15th. The Tour Championship will be a 60 player field of Championship Tour players, and a 60 player field of Challenge Tour players.
For the SFPGA Junior Tour Championships, the top 60 players off of each Player of the Year roster will be eligible to compete for either Championship. If a player has earned an invitation to both Tour Championships based on his performance during the season, the Championship Tour status will take precedence over his Challenge Tour status. A player who finishes the season competing on the Championship Tour, but earns an invitation to the Challenge Tour based on his performance on that tour throughout the season, will be eligible to compete in the Challenge Tour Championship.
