About the South Florida PGA

The South Florida Section of the PGA of America is an association of golf professionals whose mission is to promote interest, participation and enjoyment in the game of golf; establish and maintain professional standards or practice; and enhance the well-being of golf professionals.

Approximately 1,850 members and apprentices are employed at over 475 facilities in the South Florida region, currently ranking South Florida Section the second largest Section of PGA Professionals amongst all 41 PGA Sections in the United States.

South Florida PGA Foundation

The South Florida PGA Foundation is a not-for-profit organization founded to support the South Florida community, with a focus on junior golf, education and scholarships, and charitable gifting. The South Florida PGA Foundation falls under the direction of the South Florida PGA, a not-for-profit organization comprised of approximately 1,850 men and women PGA Professionals serving as the experts in business and the game of golf.

South Florida PGA Foundation Presents…
  • The Junior Championship Tour and Junior Challenge Tour are two premiere membership-based junior golf programs providing competitive and fun tournament experiences for golfers with the aspirations and skill levels to compete at the high school and collegiate levels. Both tours encompass an eleven-month season of tournament golf played on championship golf courses.
  • The Junior Prep Tour is for junior golfers ages 9-18 who have advanced from Links Tour, but are not ready for 36 holes of competition just yet. The Prep Tour features 1-day, 18 hole events for junior golfers with some prior playing experience. The Prep Tour encompasses a ten-month season from February to November.
  • The Links Tour is for junior golfers ages 6-14 with beginning level golf experience and offers an introduction to tournament play through a 9-hole stroke play competition. Links Tour serves as a fun, social, less stressful approach to tournament golf, and provides junior golfers with knowledge and skills that set the stage for a lifetime of golf enjoyment.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to keep costs low while providing first-class quality golf to the youth of South Florida. We strive to provide opportunities to those juniors who possess the potential skill and aspirations to compete at the high school or collegiate level, in addition to those who are new to the game. The South Florida PGA Junior Tours are committed to bringing first-class quality golf to juniors in the South Florida Section of the PGA of America.
