First Tee of Miami Wins PGA Jr. League Section Championship
This past weekend, 78 juniors competed in the PGA Jr. League Section Championship at Margate Executive Golf Course.
The first round included an aggregate score competition. Each of the 10 teams were broken up into two-person scrambles where the goal was to shoot the lowest score possible with the top two teams advancing to the championship round.
To score the event, the lowest three scores were taken from each team.

First Tee of Miami (John Moscoso, PGA): 83*
Tiburon (Tom O'Brien, PGA): 90*

The championship round was a traditional PGA Jr. League style match play. After the first three matches, the teams were all square and it all came down to the last group on hole number 9. First Tee of Miami won 7.5 flags and Tiburon won 4.5.
The SFPGA would like to thank Jack Shoenfelt, PGA and his team at Margate Executive Golf Course for hosting the championship event and supporting junior golf.
