Hasson and Westh Blanc Win Challenge Tour Event No. 9
Vilda Westh Blanc (Wellington) and Jack Hasson (Palm Beach Gardens) took home the nineth event of the South Florida PGA Challenge Tour season on November 10th at Wycliffe Golf and Country Club.
This 36-hole event welcomed junior golfers aged 11-18 from across south Florida to Wycliffe Golf and Country Club.
Westh Blanc (2022) carded a two-day score of 143 (72-71) to win the Overall Girl's 13-18 Division by six strokes over Gabrielle Albert of Delray Beach.
Hasson entered Sunday's final round a stroke behind MU Sun of Boynton Beach who carded a 72 during Saturday's opening round. Hasson used a 73 on Sunday to separate himself from Sun and the rest of the field recording a two-day score of 146 and winning the Overall Boy's 12-18 Division by two strokes.
In the Girl's and Boy's 11-12 Division, Valentina Marie Guertin (73-75, 148) and Tyler Chapman (67-69, 136) won their division. Chapman, who won the division after a three-hole playoff against Pavel Tsar, recorded a 2019 season low of 67 for the Boy's 11-12 Division before Tsar topped it on Sunday with a 65.
Westh Blanc and Sun took home low honors in the Girl's and Boy's 13-15 Division. As for the Girl's and Boy's 16-18 Division, Erin Marcelino (79-76, 169) and Hasson won their division titles.
The Challenge Tour is one of the South Florida PGA Junior Golf's five tours in which young golfers can compete. The South Florida PGA Junior Challenge Tour is a series of two-day events at some of South Florida's premiere facilities. Membership is open to all juniors 11-18 who meet certain scoring and age requirements.
