SFPGA Prep Tour Visits Hammock Creek Golf Club
The junior tour season is in full swing for the summer. Sixty-six Prep Tour players visited Hammock Creek Golf Club on Monday.
Dounia Bezzari of Vero Beach and Sophia Quinones of Coral Springs tied this afternoon after both carding 82 in the girls 13-18 division. Bezzari won in a scorecard playoff to claim her first victory on the Prep Tour. In the girls 11-12 division, Ashley Balcom of Lighthouse Point went four-under-par to win the division. Balcom’s round included six birdies. Finishing two strokes behind Balcom with a 70 was Marley Pedrique of Palm Beach Gardens. Olivia Hartman of Palm Beach Gardens took home the girls 9-10 division with an 87. This marks Hartman’s fourth first-place finish this season on the Prep Tour.
Taking home first place in the boys 13-18 division was Jacob Kutner of Palm Beach Gardens. Kutner’s round saw two birdies and an eagle on 16 to finish one-over-par. Three strokes behind Kutner was Michael Louis of Palm Beach Gardens who placed second after a scorecard playoff with fellow competitor Sebastian Ayala of Boca Raton. In the boys 11-12 division, Patrick Shawger of Singer Island finished two-over-par to win his first Prep Tour event. Ryder Kenney of North Palm Beach placed second after winning the scorecard playoff against Beau Allen of Fort Pierce at five-over. Sebastian Betancourt of Weston claimed the boys 9-10 division title after carding an 80 today to win his first Prep Tour event. Three strokes behind Betancourt was Agustin Bunuel of Miami Springs to win his first Prep Tour event.
