Lebrun and Bacardi Open 2023 Season With Wins at The South Florida PGA Winter Kickoff
Boynton Beach, FL - Emelie Lebrun and Remi Bacardi captured the first wins of the 2023 South Florida PGA Junior Tour season today at the Winter Kickoff, hosted by Indian Spring Country Club.

Running away with a wire-to-wire victory, Canadian native, Lebrun who now resides in Port St. Lucie wrapped the 54-hole event as the only male in the field to finish under-par at 73-68-70–211. Lebrun managed nine birdies and two eagles, which helped him to an eight shot victory over Pavel Tsar of Palm Beach Gardens.
In addition, Lebrun will receive four AJGA stars while the top-10 percent of finishers will receive one.
Tsar shot a three-day total 75-74-70 to finish in second.
Bacardi, of Miami, catapulted herself to the top of the leaderboard after firing a tournament- low five-under 67 in round two, including only one bogey to go along with six birdies. Bacardi completed the three-day championship at 5-under 211, three shots better than runner-up finisher, Marley Pedrique of West Palm Beach.
Pedrique closed out the tournament at 2-under, 214 with the help of 14 total birdies.
The South Florida PGA Winter Kickoff is the first of eight junior majors to be played throughout the 2023 season. Each major consists of the best junior golfers in south Florida and beyond. The 2023 season will continue February 4-5 as the Medalist Tour takes on the Links at Boynton Beach (Champ Course).
