Oxbridge Academy Claims Boys and Girls Titles in Stunning Sweep at SFPGA East Coast High School Championship
BOCA RATON, Fla. – Oxbridge Academy dominated both the Boys and Girls Divisions to sweep the leaderboard and claim victory at the South Florida PGA Junior Tour’s East Coast High School Championship, presented by Keiser University, at Boca West Country Club's Palmer III course.
Starting the final round with a 17-stroke lead, the Boys' team from Oxbridge Academy continued their dominant performance, never letting up as they powered through the final day. AJ Colonna (70-69—139) and Ajax La Nasa (72-68—140) led the charge, securing an impressive even-par team finish. Oxbridge’s unwavering control of the leaderboard was a testament to their skill and focus. At the same time, the Boys’ team from American Heritage put together a solid performance to claim second place at 20-over.
Individually, Oscar Crowe of Boca Raton High School captured the Boys’ Division title with an impressive two-day total of 68-66—134. Crowe edged out Lawson Ford of Cardinal Newman by one shot, racking up 10 birdies over two rounds, including six in the final round.
In the Girls' Division, Madison Hyndman (71-70–141) of Oxbridge Academy delivered an outstanding second round, recording five birdies to win the individual title by two strokes over teammate Catherine Mulvaney (70-73–143).
Hyndman and Mulvaney’s stellar performances also lifted Oxbridge Academy to the Girls’ team championship, finishing three strokes ahead of Pine Crest School.
The SFPGA High School Championship featured 105 players—70 boys and 35 girls—from 16 teams across South Florida. Next week, the Junior Tour heads to the West Coast for the West Coast High School Championship, scheduled for September 27-28 at Cypress Woods Golf and Country Club in Naples.
