Freshman Year (9th Grade)

Sophomore Year (10th Grade):
- Increase Tournament Play: Compete in more regional and national tournaments. The more competitive the experience, the better.
- Create a Recruiting Profile: Start building a recruiting profile, including academic achievements, golf stats, and tournament results. Many recruiting platforms allow you to create profiles that coaches can view.

Junior Year (11th Grade):
- Compete at High-Level Tournaments: Play in higher-level events like SFPGA, AJGA, FJT tournaments, state championships, or other national competitions. Performance in these events can significantly boost your exposure.
- Narrow Down College Choices: Identify a list of potential schools and begin focusing your efforts on them. Look at school rankings, team performance, coach styles, and program needs.
- Create a Personal Website: If you haven’t already, create a recruiting website showcasing your golf skills. Include key moments from tournaments or matches that demonstrate your strengths.
- Stay in Contact with Coaches: Continue to engage with college coaches, sending updates on tournament results and improvements. Attend college golf camps or showcases where coaches will be present.
- Maintain Strong Academics: Your grades and SAT/ACT scores will be crucial, so prioritize academic performance to meet eligibility requirements.
Senior Year (12th Grade):
- Finalize College List: Narrow down your list of college options and continue the communication process with coaches. Let them know if you’re interested in committing to a particular program.
- Attend Recruiting Events: Participate in college showcases, camps, and recruiting tournaments where coaches are actively scouting talent.
- Continue to Compete: Play in as many events as possible to further showcase your skill and consistency. A strong senior-year performance can help you stand out.
- Submit NCAA Eligibility Forms: Register with the NCAA Eligibility Center to ensure you meet the academic and amateurism requirements for college play.
