South Florida's PGA Prep Tour Takes on PGA Golf Club's Wanamaker Course
Port St. Lucie, Florida (Aug. 28, 2022)- The South Florida's PGA Prep Tour took on PGA Golf Club’s Wanamaker course this Sunday.

Due to weather disruptions, this event was turned into a 9-hole tournament for all age groups except, for the boys 11-12 who were able to complete the whole 18.
Mac Lobdell of Fort Lauderdale, who fired a 33 to win the boy’s 13-18 division, had the most par-breakers with three birdies and one eagle. Coming in close behind him, Dylan Barberio of Port St. Lucie carded a one over, 37 total score.
Finishing in the top two in back-to-back weekends, Jaxson Weese and Carson Lowe claimed victory once again for the Boys 11-12 age division. Weese carried the group with a 6-stroke lead 2-over, 74 final score.
Augustin Bunuel of Miami Springs, finished 3-over, guiding him to the first-place spot in the boy’s 9-10 age division.
On the girl’s side, taking home the title for the 13-18 age division, Sara Meran of Boca Raton finished her round with a 3-over, 39 score.
Bella Simoes of Aventura had a victorious weekend. After claiming a spot in the Drive, Chip and Putt Regional qualifier on Saturday, Bella continued her winning streak for the girl’s 11-12 division on Sunday. Simoes finished with a score of 4-over, 40.
Finally, Sara Valentine of West Palm Beach finished her round and was crowned the girl’s 9-10 division champion. Valentine finished her round with a 43 total score.
The Prep Tour is South Florida’s intermediate level Junior Tour. The next Prep Tour event will be held at The Club at Ibis on September 11th.
