Foegen, Compton, and Fleming earned Medalist titles at Eagle Trace Golf Club
CORAL SPRINGS, FL. – Foegen, Compton, and Fleming earned division titles at the Srixon South Florida PGA Junior Medalist Tour event, held October 4-5 at Eagle Trace Golf Club.

In the Boys 13-18 Division, Cooper Foegen of Hobe Sound finished at 8-under par to capture the victory. Foegen entered the final round tied for first with Dane Mohap of Bradenton at 3-under par and carded a 5-under 67 on Sunday, highlighted by five birdies and 13 pars. Tankhun Ritthisorn of Jupiter placed second at 4-under par after a 3-under second round.
In the Girls 13-18 Division, Petra Compton of Palmetto Bay secured the win in a playoff over Mia Heuberger of Palm Beach Gardens. Compton began the final round one stroke back following a 4-over par opening round and finished tied with Heuberger at 4-over par through 36 holes. On the first playoff hole, the 341-yard par-4 first, Compton made birdie to earn the victory. Heuberger’s 2-under-par final round propelled her into the playoff and a runner-up finish.
In the Boys 11-12 Division, Joshua Fleming of Deerfield Beach led wire-to-wire, finishing at 3-under par with rounds of 70 and 71. Simon Bustos of Chattanooga, Tennessee, placed second at 5-over par with rounds of 74-75.
Despite challenging weather conditions, the field combined for eight eagles and 313 birdies throughout the weekend. The Boys 11-12 Division posted a scoring average of 77.60, the Girls 13-18 Division averaged 78.86, and the Boys 13-18 Division averaged 76.47.
The South Florida PGA extends its appreciation to Julian Gil, General Manager, Matt Zitner, Head Golf Professional, and the entire team at Eagle Trace Golf Club for their support in hosting the event.
The Srixon South Florida PGA Junior Medalist Tour welcomed 60 boys and 16 girls across three divisions. The Medalist Tour, the premier membership-based junior golf program of the South Florida PGA Section, will continue its season October 18-19 at Osprey Point Golf Course.
