Holtz and Lu Win Medalist Tour Event at Hammock Creek Golf Club
Palm City, FL - Gabriel Holtz and Michelle Lu won the Srixon South Florida PGA Junior Medalist Tour event, played June 7-8 at Hammock Creek Golf Club.

Holtz of Boca Raton fired a two-day total of 11-under, the lowest total score of all players in the field, boys or girls. Holtz finished round one at 1-under, sitting in a tie for 6th place. Holtz round two performance quickly took him to the top of the leaderboard, firing a 10-under par round, claiming the victory by six shots over Jeremy Hsu of Port Saint Lucie. Hsu finished with a two-day total of 5-under, shooting 3-under in the first round and 2-under in the second.
Lu of Orlando managed a two-day total of 1-under, clenching the victory by one shot over Rain Jiang of Sarasota. Lu finished round one at 1-under and Jiang at 1-over. Jiang battled back in round two, shooting 1-under, but even par for Lu was just enough to claim victory.
292 birdies and seven eagles were made this weekend, with boys having a 77 scoring average and the girls having a 76.61. The top-5 finishers amongst the Boys 13-18 Division are as follows: Gabriel Holtz (-11), Jeremy Hsu (-5), Matthew Stigliano (-3), Gatlin Albright (-2), Kenny Klein, Jack Maurer, and Ryder Kenny (E). The top 5 finishers amongst the Girls 13-18 Division are Michelle Lu (-1), Rain Jiang (E), Alyna Yensabai (+3), Nicole Wu (+4), Keala Richi, and Esther Li (+8).
The Srixon South Florida PGA Junior Medalist Tour welcomed 54 boys and 18 girls, competing over two divisions at Hammock Creek Golf Club. The Srixon South Florida PGA Junior Medalist Tour is the premier membership-based junior golf program of the South Florida PGA Section. The Medalist Tour season will continue June 16-17 at Stone Bridge Country Club for the South Florida Junior PGA Championship.
