Klein and Zalsman earned Medalist titles at Mariner Sands Country Club

Kenny Klein and Mila Zalsman earned division titles at the Srixon South Florida PGA Junior Medalist Tour event, held November 1-2 at Mariner Sands Country Club - Gold Course.

After 36-holes, the Boys 13–18 Division was tied as Kenny Klein of Palm Beach Gardens and Benjamin Muecke of Tampa finished at 6-under par. After three playoff holes, the two remained tied at even par. The 423-yard, par-4, 5th hole served as the tiebreaker, where Klein made birdie to secure the victory. This marked Klein’s first win in his South Florida PGA Junior Tour career, highlighted by eight birdies over the weekend, four of them coming on his final nine holes.
In the Girls 13–18 Division, Mila Zalsman of Saint Petersburg held a three-shot lead following an opening round of 3-under par over Emma Mckoan of Naples. Looking to secure back-to-back Medalist Tour victories, Zalsman made the turn at even par and ultimately held on to win by one stroke over Mckoan and Bella Simoes of Lake Worth, who both finished tied for second at 1-over par. Per the South Florida PGA Junior Tour handbook, a scorecard playoff was used to determine second place. Simoes secured the runner-up position by one stroke with a 36 on holes 10–18.
The 58-player field combined for four eagles and 261 birdies throughout the weekend. The Girls 13–18 Division averaged 78.32, while the Boys 13–18 Division averaged 75.73.

The Srixon South Florida PGA Junior Medalist Tour welcomed 57 boys and 22 girls across three divisions. The Medalist Tour the premier membership-based junior golf program of the South Florida PGA Section will continue its season November 22–23 at Sandridge Golf Club on the Lakes Course.
