SFPGA Toptracer PrepTour Takes on Weekend Double-Header at West Bay Club and Pointe West Country Club
Over the weekend, the South Florida PGA Toptracer Prep Tour hosted two events. The tournament drew over 150 young golfers to two prestigious courses in the hot south Florida sun. The first event kicked off at Pointe West Country Club in Vero Beach on Saturday and the second tournament was at the West Bay Club in Estero on Sunday.
Saturday at Pointe West Country Club:
In the Boys 13-18 division, Martin Bustos of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Luis Brao of Miami both shot a two-over 74, sharing the top spot.
Audrey Bacic from Hollywood Hills emerged as the frontrunner in the Girls 13-18 division, carding a five-over 77. Bacic's impressive performance, particularly her bogey-free run over the last six holes of her front nine, secured her a two-stroke lead over Sophia Enriquez of Wellington.
The Boys 11-12 division saw a three-way tie between Alden Dixon, Linus Castro, and Flynn Lewis, all finishing at five-over 77. Castro ultimately won in a scorecard playoff.
Nishika Koduru of Boca Raton also shot a five-over 77, starting her round with an eagle on the par 4, first hole. This stellar start propelled her to her sixth top-three finish of the 2024 Prep Season.
In the Boy’s 9-10 division, Alfred Carmenate of Miami posted a 4-over 76, while Jenna Elharti captured the Girls 9-10 title with an 8-over 80.
Sunday’s Competition at West Bay Club
Sunday's Boys 13-18 division at West Bay Club concluded in another tight contest. Daniel Garcia, Kieran Shaw, and Rylan Stewart all finished at five-over 77. Garcia emerged victorious after a scorecard playoff.
