The Club at Ibis Hosts Prep Tour Event
West Palm Beach, FL- What an exciting weekend for South Florida PGA’s Junior Tour members! This past weekend, the SFPGA hosted tournaments for Medalist, Prep and Links Tour Players. Congratulations to all of our champions and to all of those players who participated!

The Club at Ibis hosted this past weekend’s Prep Tour Event. Jesse Herling of Miami Beach maintained a strong lead for the boy’s 13-18 division. With the help of 2 birdies and an eagle, Herling finished even par and claimed the first place title. Coming in second for the boy’s 13-18 division, Cameron Feiner of Palm Beach Gardens shot 4–over, 76.
After going back-to-back in Prep Tour events, Jaxson Weese of Sebastian claimed victory yet again for the boys 11-12 age division. Weese capped the day with a 13-stroke lead finishing 2-under, 70. Anthony Beteta of Davenport claimed second place for the boys 11-12.
Mateo Muniz of Wellington fired a tournament-low score of 4-under, 68 granting him first place honors in the boys 9-10 division. Muniz had a total of 6 birdies and 1 eagle throughout his round. Following behind him, Augustin Bunuel of Miami Springs went 1-under par for a total score of 71.
For the girl’s age divisions, Ashley Balcom of Lighthouse Point claimed victory in the 13-18 division. After her win at PGA Golf Club two weeks ago, Bella Simoes of Aventura continued her hot streak this past weekend. Simoes finished first place for the girl’s 11-12 division.
Finally, in the girl’s 9-10 division, Myla Kumar and Sara Valentine finished in the top two seats for the third Prep Event in a row!
