Arce, Rodriguez and Foegen Dominate in West Coast Medalist Event at Copperleaf Golf Club
Bonita Springs, FL- South Florida PGA Junior Tour players traveled to Florida’s West Coast to take on Copperleaf Golf Club for a two-day Medalist Tour event.

Starting in the girl’s 13-18 division, Morgan Rodriguez of Delray Beach fired a 5-under 139 total. Rodriguez closed out day two with seven total birdies to assist her overall victory. Following closely behind, Nicole Sardinha of Miramar and Ann-Sophie Bourgault of Naples finished in a two way tie for the second place title. Sardinia and Bourgalt finished at 3-under 141. Both Sardinha and Rodriguez finished round two with a tournament-low amongst the girl’s division, 6-under 66.
Aiden Arce of Davie found a hot streak during the two days, finishing under par in each round for a 6-under 138 total leading him to victory in the Boys 13-18 Division. Coming in second, a stroke behind Arce, was Dylan Marrone of Parkland who carded a 5-under 139.
Good friends Cooper Foegen and Bento Assis went head-to-head in the boy’s 11-12 Division, where Hobe Sound’s Foegen ultimately came out on top. Foegen’s 3-under 141 was enough for a two-stroke victory over Assis of Brazil.
Congratulations to our champions of the weekend and to all of our participants who came out and competed. Special thank you to Copperleaf Golf Club and Director of Golf Jason Miller, PGA.
