Beebe and Shamy Take Home Medalist Tour Victory at Osprey Point Golf Course
Boca Raton, FL - This past weekend, Osprey Point Golf Course hosted the South Florida PGA Medalist Tour in a two-day, 36 hole event.
Zoe Shamy (-7) of Jupiter and Hampton Beebe (-9) of West Palm Beach claimed their respective division titles.
Starting the weekend with five birdies and one bogey, Shamy closed round one with a two-stroke lead over Aliyah Liberatore (71-72–143) and Danica Ortega (71-74–145).
Shamy maintained strong momentum through round two, cardeding five additional birdies to propel her to a 6-stroke lead in the Girl’s 13-18 Division over Liberatore.
As a result, Shamy advanced to a Top-5 position for the Girl’s Player of the Year race.
In the Boy’s 13-18 Division, Boca Raton native Gabriel Holtz had an impressive start to round one, carding six consecutive birdies and one eagle through his front nine. Holtz closed the day at 9-under, 63.
However, Hampton Beebe of West Palm Beach carded 13 birdies throughout the weekend and after his final round 64, edged out Junzhe Wang (66-70-136), Wylie Inman (72-66-138) and Holtz (63-75-138).
Beebe is an active member of the South Florida PGA Birdie Club and with the help of his 47 birdies this season, he has raised nearly $5,000 towards the support of the
South Florida PGA Foundation.

The Medalist Tour season will host its final events, October 28-29 at Eagle Trace Golf Club and November 4-5 at Mariner Sands before staging the Tour Championship December at The Park West Palm December 2-3.
