Gulf Coast High School and First Baptist Academy dominate in the South Florida PGA West Coast High School Championship.
Naples, FL- Due to Hurricane Ian’s impact on the West Coast of Florida, the SFPGA High School Championship was rescheduled and modified into a single day 18- hole event.

Playing the Quarry Golf Club in Naples the Gulf Coast High School Boy’s team closed with a 14 stroke lead. The team fired a group score of 9-under 279 to claim first place honors.
Leading the way for the Sharks was junior Noah Kent who carded a 4-under 68. Following close behind Kent, junior Ryan Miller finished with a 3-under, 69 to lead their team to victory. Both Kent and Miller wrapped play with 5 birdies each.
Coming in second place for the boy’s was Bishop Verot High School ending at 5-over 293.
First Baptist Academy and Bishop Verot went head-to-head for the girl’s division title. Coming out on top was the First Baptist Lions. Leading the way for the Lions was sophomore Eva Lye who finished at even par. Landing in second place behind Lye was Jensi Krampel with 3-over 75.
