This event marked the final qualifier for the South Florida Junior PGA Championship set to take place June 17-18 at Stonebridge Country Club.
Wylie Inman, a North Palm Beach native, emerged as the champion with a two-day total of 69-70–139. Inman started the weekend with a birdie and an eagle on the first two holes. Holding a strong lead going into the final round, Inman faced stiff competition from Oscar Crowe, the recent Patty Berg Champion.
Crowe delivered an impeccable performance in the second round, posting a bogey-free score with six birdies, for the tournament-low round of 66. Despite starting the final round at 3-over, 75, Crowe's remarkable play applied significant pressure on Inman. However, Inman maintained his composure and skill to finish two strokes ahead of Crowe, securing the title of Boys 13-18 Hammock Creek Champion.
The competition in the Girls 13-18 division was intense, with Gabriella DeGasperis of Palm Beach Gardens clinching the title with a total 76-72–148. DeGasperis started the final round three shots behind Ashley Balcom of Lighthouse Point, who led with a one-over, 73. Demonstrating steady and consistent play, DeGasperis finished Sunday's round at even-par, overtaking Balcom by one stroke to win the championship.
Congratulations to Wylie Inman and Gabriella DeGasperis for their exceptional performances and victories this weekend!
