Prep Tour Players Dominate at Country Club of Coral Springs
This past weekend, the Country Club of Coral Springs hosted 78 talented Toptracer Prep Tour players for a thrilling one-day, 18-hole event as part of the South Florida PGA Prep Tour.
Brian Kelley of Port St. Lucie dominated the Boy’s 9-10 Division with a stellar back nine. Kelley concluded his round with two consecutive birdies followed by two eagles, securing the victory with a total score of three-over, 75.
Victoria Frias of Parkland continued her winning streak in the Girl’s 9-10 Division, claiming her seventh consecutive first-place finish. Frias shot a 12-over, 74, showcasing her consistent performance throughout the season.
Flynn Lewis of Jupiter excelled in the Boy’s 11-12 division, particularly on the par fives where he carded four birdies out of five holes. Lewis finished his round at one-under, 71, marking his fifth first-place finish in the 2024 Prep Season.
Alyna Yensabai made a triumphant return to the winner's circle after securing a second-place finish at Indian River Club earlier this month. Yensabai carded five birdies and one eagle, finishing with a tournament-low score of 2-under, 70, and clenching her fourth Prep Tour victory.
In the highly competitive 13-18 divisions, Ryan Wanuck of Jupiter and Camila Romero of Doral both emerged victorious, each finishing with a score of 1-over. Romero began her round with a birdie on hole one and concluded with back-to-back birdies, securing her win. Similarly, Wanuck started strong with consecutive birdies, setting the pace for his first-place finish.
