Maddy Emery and Hunter Butler Win Prep Tour Event at Links at Boynton Beach
Boynton Beach - The South Florida PGA Prep Tour teed it up today at the Links of Boynton Beach with 78 players competing.
Going one-for-one in her first Prep Tour event of the 2023 season, Maddy Emery of Palmetto Bay carded a 4-over 75 for Girl’s 13-18 first place honors. One stroke back of Emery, Bella Simoes of Lake Worth claimed runner-up, making this her fifth consecutive top-5 finish.
After a victorious finish in his previous Prep Tour event at Boca Lago Golf & Country Club, Hunter Butler of Lake Worth returned to claim yet another win in the Boy’s 13-18 division. With a 2-under start through his front-nine, Butler propelled himself to a five shot lead. Butler capped his round at 1-over, 72.
In the Boy’s 11-12 division, Reed Abdelnour of West Palm Beach and Charles Sundermeier of Lake Worth went shot-for-shot both finishing at 7-over, 78. Abdelnour took first place in a scorecard playoff, taking the back-nine scores.
Harper Kiss of Lighthouse Point won her second Prep Tour event of the 2023 season, 3 shots better then Alyna Yensabai of Lake Worth.
Victor Monssoh of Miami ran with the lead at 5-over 76, winning the Boys 9-10 division.
Concluding the day with the Girl’s 9-10, Chloe Rouce achieved victory.
