Overview
The Patty Berg Championship is one of South Florida’s eight junior majors. The Patty Berg Championship is a 54 hole event run in conjunction with the Southwest Florida Junior Golf Association.
2008 SFPGA Hall of Fame inductee Patty Berg was named Woman Athlete of the Year in 1938, 1943, and 1955. A member of the Ladies PGA, she combined an outstanding tournament career with a passion for growing the game, conducting thousands of instructional clinics around the world.
Berg won more than 80 professional tournaments, in addition to the U.S. Amateur (1938) and the inaugural U.S. Women’s Open in 1946. She was also one of the 13 founders of the LPGA and served as the Tour’s first president when it was established in 1950. In addition, she was a founding member of Cypress Lake Golf Club.
The champion of the Boys 13–18 division will earn a spot on the 2026 Justin Thomas-Cameron Young South Florida PGA Junior Challenge Cup Team. For more information about the Junior Challenge Cup, please click

Event Details
The field is composed of 168 players from the Medalist Tour.
A cut will be made after the second round to the top 40% of the field, including ties. The total number of players to advance to the final round will be posted upon the conclusion of the 1st Round.
