Patty Berg Junior Championship

Overview

The Patty Berg Championship is one of South Florida’s eight junior majors. The Patty Berg Championship is a 54 hole event run in conjunction with the Southwest Florida Junior Golf Association.

Patty Berg was the Woman Athlete of the Year in 1938, 1943, and 1955. She was a chapter member of the Ladies PGA, and supplemented a great tournament record of conducting thousands of instructional clinics around the world. Patty won more than 80 tournaments, including the U.S. Amatuer (1938) and the U.S. Open (1946). Patty Berg was a founding member of Cypress Lake Golf Club.
